Limit Orders

Overview

Limit orders let you specify the exact price at which you want to buy or sell. Unlike market orders that execute immediately at current prices, limit orders wait until your target price is reached. Giving you precise control over entry and exit points.

When to use limit orders:

  • You have a specific price target in mind

  • You want to avoid slippage entirely

  • You're not in a rush to execute

  • You're trading larger sizes where price matters

  • You want to "set and forget" entries or exits

When to use market orders instead:

  • You need immediate execution

  • The token is highly volatile and may not return to your price

  • You're trading small amounts where slippage is negligible
